The Vacancy
We are seeking a passionate Neurodiversity Team Leader to support the Clinical Manager and Director of Psychology in the operational and clinical management of a multidisciplinary team.
The team consists of Workplace Needs Assessors, Strategy Coaches and Assistive Technology Trainers, delivering specialist neurodiversity support services to employees across a range of sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, support and supervision to the team, whilst also maintaining a clinical caseload and delivering specialist neurodiversity support services.
Location: Homebased/Occasional Travel
Working Hours: x40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (30 minute unpaid lunch)
Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
They will be expected to deliver Workplace Needs Assessments, Strategy Coaching and/or Assistive Technology Training, ensuring they remain informed of current practice and are able to provide expert guidance to the wider team.
Support the Clinical Manager and Director of Psychology in the management and development of a multidisciplinary neurodiversity team.
Provide operational leadership and day-to-day support to Workplace Needs Assessors, Strategy Coaches and Assistive Technology Trainers.
Maintain an active caseload, delivering Workplace Needs Assessments, Strategy Coaching and/or Assistive Technology Training.
Monitor service quality, ensuring assessments, coaching interventions and assistive technology support are delivered in line with organisational standards and best practice.
Conduct regular supervision sessions, quality assurance reviews and performance discussions with team members.
Provide mentoring and professional guidance to team members, drawing upon personal experience of service delivery.
Support the management of workloads, resource allocation and service delivery targets.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of neurodiversity services, processes and quality standards.
Act as a point of escalation for complex cases, providing guidance and support to team members where required.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes for clients and customers.
Support recruitment, induction, training and professional development activities across the team.
Assist with attendance, conduct and performance management matters in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Produce service reports and provide feedback to senior leadership on team performance, trends and service developments.
Promote a positive, supportive and inclusive culture that reflects neurodiversity-affirming practice.
About you:
Experience delivering at least one of the following services:
Workplace Needs Assessments
Neurodiversity Strategy Coaching
Assistive Technology Training
Ability and willingness to continue delivering services alongside management responsibilities.
Previous experience supervising, mentoring or managing staff.
Strong knowledge of neurodiversity and workplace adjustments.
Proven track record of meeting and supporting staff to meet KPI's.
Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to support practitioners in managing complex cases and workplace recommendations.
Demonstrable commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practice.
